Hard truth: Wrapping (or securitizing, as they say in tradfi) something that generates revenue is not the same as creating a product that people are willing to pay for. The latter directly creates value for an ecosystem, while the former helps bring that value to a market.

It’s painful to watch the people who said “of course robinhood would build an L2” now say “of course stripe would build an L1.” Robinhood x arbitrum was driven by a16z (owns a lot of both), and paradigm’s Matt huang is on stripe’s board. Distribution > tech. Always has been.
